Lo primero que necesitarás será una calculadora si no quieres hacer el cálculo de cabeza. Además, coge papel y boli, ya que para hacer la conversión de yardas a metros necesitarás escribir una sencilla fórmula.

Una vez ya has preparado el material, debes saber que 1 yarda equivale a 0,9144 metros. Por lo tanto, si quieres saber a cuántos metros equivale un número determinado de yardas, deberás multiplicar el número de yardas por 0,9144 metros.

Cómo pasar de yardas a metros
Ahora que ya sabemos que 1 yarda son 0,9144 metros, podemos aprovechar esta equivalencia para deducir la fórmula que nos permitirá pasar de yardas a metros:
mts = yardas x 0,9144
Por ejemplo, ¿cuántos metros son 100 yardas? Para resolver el ejercicio aplicamos la fórmula anterior y obtenemos que:
100 yardas x 0,9144 = 91,44 metros
Además en este caso la conversión ha sido bastante sencilla ya que al multiplicar por 100 sólo hemos tenido que mover la coma de los decimales dos posiciones a la derecha. Vamos a ver otro ejemplo en el que convertiremos 60 yardas a metros:
60 yardas x 0,9144 = 54,86 mts
Cómo pasar de metros a yardas
Ahora que ya sabemos convertir yardas a metros, vamos a aprender a hacer la conversión inversa, es decir, pasar de metros a yardas.
En este caso la operación es similar solo que en lugar de multiplicar, dividiremos. Para que quede claro, esta es la fórmula para convertir mts a yardas:
yardas = metros / 0,9144
Como ejercicio resuelto, vamos a ver cuántas yardas son 50 metros. Aplicamos la fórmula que acabamos de ver y:
50 mts / 0,9144 = 54,69 yardas
La operación es sencilla y al igual que en el caso anterior, no entraña dificultad. Lo único que tienes que recordar es la equivalencia entre metros y yardas pero si no vas a usar estas unidades de forma frecuente, lo mejor es que utilices nuestro convertidor y listo.
Cómo convertir yardas a metros en Excel
Si quieres hacerte tu propio convertidor de yardas a metros y tienes Excel instalado en el ordenador, puedes pasar de una unidad a otra de forma inmediata y sin operaciones.
Sólo tienes que abrir una nueva hoja de cálculo y poner en una celda vacía la siguiente fórmula:
