Metralleta de Oro is a collective of Los Angeles-based Dj’s comprised of, Diego Fuego (Diego Guerrero), Sumo Deejay (Sumohair), and FONDO (Eduardo Gomez). Founded in 2013, Metralleta de Oro often utilize an element of kitsch/satire in their musical and visual selections in order to criticize, depict, exaggerate, or comment on the spectacle of different Mexican/American popular sub-cultures. Some of the collectives musical genres include: Cumbia, Sonidero, and Tribal. Metralleta de Oro are currently the resident Dj’s of the monthly Cumbia dance party ¡Dinamita!; every 3rd Friday of the month at The Office Nightclub located in Lincoln Heights.
