Los anglicismos siempre han sido usados en el lenguaje español, pero a partir de Internet, y sobre todo el boom de las redes sociales, su presencia en nuestro idioma es más grande y nítida, al punto que cada día se asimilan nuevas palabras oriundas del inglés como «sad». ¿Qué significa exactamente esta palabra? Es un término en inglés que significa «triste», usado en Facebook e Instagram en determinadas ocasiones.
Después de ahondar en expresiones como «TBT» o «BFF», ahora es el turno de «SAD«, empleado regularmente en mayúsculas en sus distintas variantes.
¿Qué significa y cuándo usar «SAD»?
«SAD» es un término en inglés que significa “triste”, así que si lees post que dicen:
– «Qué sad» – «Qué triste»
– «Súper sad» – «Súper triste»
– «Mi vida toda sad» – «Mi vida toda triste»
– «La hora sad» – «La hora más triste»
Y hay muchas más frases en las que puedas usar este término, pero siempre tendrá el mismo significado en cuanto a su uso en las redes sociales.
Pero no solo se refiere a este tipo de situaciones, sino existe otra explicación que tiene que ver con la salud emocional de las personas.
Trastorno afectivo estacional (SAD)
El SAD forma parte de los trastornos del estado ánimo. Afecta a nuestro bienestar, nuestra interacción social, nuestro apetito y deseo sexual, y se caracteriza por ocurrir durante una cierta época del año, generalmente durante el invierno.
El término Trastorno Depresivo Estacional fue acuñado por Norman Rosenthal, profesor de psiquiatría clínica de la Universidad Georgetown (Washington, Estados Unidos) que durante 20 años investigó el SAD en el Instituto Nacional de Salud Mental de EE.UU.
Según su teoría, los pacientes que sufren este trastorno experimentan los síntomas depresivos durante los meses de otoño e invierno debido a que hay menos luz solar, y empiezan a mejorar con la llegada de la primavera. Uno de los motivos por lo que esto ocurre es por la falta de vitamina D.
Como lees, el término SAD puedes usarlo para referirte a alguna situación triste y graciosa en las redes sociales, además tiene que ver mucho con el Trastorno Afectivo Estacional que pueden sufrir algunas personas durante la época de otoño e invierno.
