USING the SPANISH VERB VENDER
vender can also mean: to give away, to betray.
venderse (vr): to sell out
Se vende: For Sale.
vender algo en/por algo : to sell something for something.
vender al por mayor: to sell wholesale.
vender al por menor: to sell retail.
el vendedor / la vendedora (nm/f) : seller, salesperson.
la venta (nf) : sale.
la venta al contado (nf) : cash sale.
la venta a plazos (nf) : hire purchase, by instalment payments.
la venta por catálogo/correo (nf) : mail order.
el superventas (nm) : best seller.
vos replaces tú – you, informal, singular –
– in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and also in some countries of Central America.
